Where Authenticity Meets Impact

You’ve led through firestorms, transitions, and uncertainty — and you’ve held it together, because that’s what strong leaders do. But now, something’s shifting. You’re asking deeper questions about who you are, what you stand for, and what you want next.

At The AG Effect, we believe leadership gets better — not by doing more, but by leading more like yourself.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

Meet the Founder

Leadership Coach I Former Federal Executive I Values-Driven Changemaker

Hi, I’m Angie!

…founder of The AG Effect and a coach for seasoned leaders navigating transition, reinvention, and realignment.

For over 25 years, I served in public leadership, guiding high-impact, high-pressure programs — including billion-dollar federal programs and national disaster resilience and recovery efforts. I led with conviction, mentored through crisis, and stayed grounded in purpose, even under intense scrutiny.

But over time, the decisions being made around me made it harder for me to lead in alignment with my core values, especially my commitment to people-centered leadership. I wasn’t burned out. I was out of alignment. So I made a deliberate choice to step away — not because I couldn’t lead, but because I believe leadership should never come at the expense of your values, your well-being or the people we serve.

That season changed me. I saw, more clearly than ever, the pressures today’s leaders face — and I developed a deep passion for supporting them. For helping leaders stay grounded in their values, even in the hardest moments. For creating space where they can grow, realign, and lead with clarity and heart.

That decision didn’t end my leadership journey — it opened a new chapter. I didn’t leave leadership. I redefined it. Now I help others do the same.

What is The AG Effect?

At the heart of The AG Effect is a simple, powerful idea:
Authenticity and Growth are the twin engines of courageous leadership.
When nurtured together and rooted in support, well-being and safety, they unlock clarity, confidence, and meaningful impact.

Because here’s the truth:
No one grows in a vacuum.
We grow when we feel seen, supported, and safe enough to stretch.

Beyond the Bio

The AG Effect name reflects my initials — and my daughter’s — as well as the ripple effect of authentic leadership.

Outside of coaching, I find peace in national parks, joy in daily walks with my dogs Rufus and Copper, and strength in the quiet moments that remind me who I am. I’m married to my partner of 24 years, Jerry, and the proud mom of two college-aged kids, Alice and Scott.

This is the second curve of my career — and I’m building it with purpose.
